Overview
The Atomic Bombshells, "the city's most dazzling burlesque troupe"(Seattle Weekly), pay tribute to their hometown in this critically acclaimed homage to all things Southern: "Nightfall in New Orleans."
Hot on the heels of their wildly successful Bellingham debut last April, Seattle's internationally celebrated burlesque supertroupe will be bringing an ALL-NEW smash show to the historic Mount Baker Theatre stage, offering up a thrilling love letter to where it all started: The Big Easy! What better way to kick summer into high gear than to experience this decadent tribute to all things sultry, swampy, and Southern!
Debuting to sold-out audiences in 2008, and featured on Emmy-winning documentary series Full Focus, “Nightfall in New Orleans” includes an endless array of song, dance, and fabulous spectacles. Highlights include a jazz funeral, a Mardi Gras queen, and dazzling historical tributes to Bourbon Street's original burlesque legends: Blaze Starr, Wild Cherry, and Evangeline the Oyster Girl...... all set to a foot-stomping, heart-pounding jazz soundtrack that will make you "know what it means, to miss New Orleans."
With "choreography that's pristine"(Shanghai Jazz Scene) and "a sheer joy to watch"(HotelsByCity), this gorgeous and reverent show proves once again that "The Atomic Bombshells make striptease an ART!"(Seattle Gay News).
The incomparable Jasper McCann emcees with style and good humor! Very special guest songbird Sydni Deveraux!
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the oil spill relief in the Gulf.
