RECENT NEWS: Kurt Elling won his 1st Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album at the 2010 Grammy Awards...>Read More

The Monterey Jazz Festival took Bellingham and the nation by storm with its 2007/08 50th anniversary tour, a celebration of one of the longest running and most widely acclaimed jazz festivals in the world. The rave response has prompted a new tour in 2010 with an all-new lineup of four amazing musicians maintaining Monterey’s tradition of bringing together veteran and younger artists.

Kenny Barron’s elegant playing, sensitive melodies and infectious rhythms inspired The Los Angeles Times to name him “one of the top jazz pianists in the world.”

Regina Carter, violinist, “creates music that is wonderfully listenable, probingly intelligent and, at times, breathtakingly daring – taking the listener into the future of jazz” (Time Magazine).

Kurt Elling attained elite status in the jazz world before age 40 with seven Grammy nominations and six consecutive years at the top of the Down Beat Critics’ and Jazz Times Readers’ polls. The San Francisco Chronicle calls him “the most flamboyantly creative jazz singer to emerge in the last decade.”

Russell Malone has toured internationally as a guitarist with Diana Krall, receiving critical acclaim in his role as Diana’s right hand both in concert and on her recordings.
