Longtime friends Mary Chapin Carpenter and Shawn Colvin come together this spring for an intimate evening of storytelling and music. The duo’s exquisite voices and expert guitar stylings blend together in perfect harmony as they share songs from their own vast catalogues as well as distinctive interpretations of their favorite artists’ tunes.

Mary Chapin Carpenter has won five Grammy Awards, recorded 12 albums, and sold over 13 million records. She continues to profess her love for all kinds of music, combining folk, country, acoustic, rock, and blues in songs that speak to the most personal and universal of life’s details. These globally recognizable themes can be found in all of Carpenter’s music, including “Passionate Kisses,” “Down at the Twist and Shout,” and “Shut Up and Kiss Me.”

Shawn Colvin has received three Grammy Awards, released nine albums, maintained a non-stop touring schedule, appeared on countless television and radio programs, had her material featured in major motion pictures, and created a remarkable canon of work. Her songs are slow-release works of craft and catharsis. From “Steady On” to “Whole New You” to “Sunny Came Home,” Colvin’s melodies become treasured, lifetime companions for their listeners. In addition to these standards and others, audiences can look forward to the personal and often hilarious stories that Shawn weaves into her live shows.

Wheelchair accessible seats are available through the Ticket Office. The Theatre is not equipped with elevators or escalators. Assisted listening devices or earplugs can be picked up at the complimentary coat check located inside the main doors. Ask an usher to obtain a booster cushion for small children. All services are subject to availability.

Refunds/Exchanges:

All sales are final. Please check your order thoroughly before making your purchase. MBT Members can exchange the value of their tickets for another MBT-presented show of equal value. Tickets must be returned to the Ticket Office before the show for an exchange.

Tickets can be donated back to the Theatre at least 24 hours before the show as a tax deductable contribution.
