The Mount Baker Theatre is excited to share with you the 20th season of our Education Series. Last year, we welcomed over 15,000 area students to a variety of stimulating programs at this regional historic landmark.
Wade Bennett King Education Series
For the twelfth consecutive year, the MBT Education Series is sponsored by the Frank King Family in memory of their son, Wade Bennett King. Wade loved the theatre. His parents, Frank and Mary King, want to ensure that the memory of Wade is kept alive by providing opportunities for other young people to be inspired by the arts.
“The Mount Baker Theatre is an awesome, magical place for children. We want to encourage as many children as possible to take advantage of these opportunities.” -Mary King
The King Family is pleased to support the wide range of beautiful, imaginative experiences that make up this series of programming.

Missoula Children’s Theatre
The Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT), the nation’s largest touring children’s theatre, has been touring extensively for 38 years now from Montana to Japan. This will be their 14th visit to MBT.
Each summer the MCT tour team arrives at the Theatre with a set, lights, costumes, props and make-up, everything it takes to put on a musical…except the cast. Each camp consists of 50-60 local students who rehearse throughout the week and present two public Saturday performances on MBT’s Main Stage.
Creativity, social skills, goal achievement, communication skills and self-esteem are all characteristics that are attained through the participation in this unique, educational project.
MCT’s mission is the development of life skills in children through participation in the performing arts.
The Frog Prince: July 11-16
Peter and Wendy: July 18-23
The Princess and the Pea: August 1-6
