Arlo Guthrie Delights Fans By Bringing Tour to Mount Baker Theatre in April

Bellingham, WA—Mount Baker Theatre presents the legendary Arlo Guthrie for one evening on the Main Stage, Thursday, April 20 at 7pm.   This performance, part of his “Running Down the Road Tour,” features Arlo and his band playing the best of his catalogue from the late sixties and early seventies. Featuring the most outstanding cuts from Arlo (1968), Running Down the Road (1969), Washington County (1970), and many others, this tour exemplifies the sound that shaped a generation.

Aside from his success as a singer-songwriter, Arlo Guthrie established Rising Son Records, one of the first indie labels in existence. Rising Son is still in active operation serving as his record and production company. Guthrie is also an accomplished actor with numerous television appearances, and is the son of famed Woody Guthrie.

Inspired by his parents’ activism, Arlo founded The Guthrie Center and The Guthrie Foundation. Named for his parents, The Guthrie Center is a not-for-profit interfaith church foundation dedicated to providing a wide range of local and international services. The Guthrie Foundation is a separate, not-for-profit educational organization that addresses issues such as the environment, health care, cultural preservation and educational exchange.

Tickets to Arlo Guthrie: Running Down the Road Tour can be purchased for $30.50-$42.50 plus applicable fees

2016-2017 Season Sponsor is Saturna Capital.

The Mount Baker Theatre, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting the performing arts, receives support from a Tourism Facilities Grant from the City of Bellingham.
