A local Bellingham favorite, Baby Cakes first performed on New Year’s Eve 2014, and has lit up nightclubs, festivals, weddings, and special events throughout the Pacific Northwest ever since. Known for electrifying live shows and irresistible grooves, the band delivers music that makes you move.

In 2018, the group released their self-titled debut album Baby Cakes, featuring nine original tracks ranging from funk-fueled pop and sultry blues to soaring ballads. The album closes with a haunting rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams.”

Baby Cakes brings to life the spirit and emotion of the most popular music in history. Performing a catalogue ranging from Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder to Earth, Wind & Fire, Whitney Houston, and Amy Winehouse. Their shows offer a multi-generational experience that is equal parts nostalgia and new energy.

At the helm is Penelope Harris, joined by Ella Davis and Miles Harris whose dynamic harmonies ignite the stage. Drummer and manager Kevin Chryst leads the legendary rhythm section, joined by radical bassist Jeff Ballew, superstar guitarist Miles Harris, and inimitable keyboardist Blake Angelos.

The band’s signature horn section brings the fire: saxophonist Thomas Harris stuns with world-class improvisation, Isaac DeVange lights up the trumpet, and Jake Yansen delivers inspired solos across alto and baritone saxophones.
