Mount Baker Theatre is celebrating National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day early with the pawsitively hilarious mockumentary, Best in Show.

Patrons are encouraged to arrive at the theatre early, starting at 12:30 PM, to check out the local pet vendors set up in MBT’s Lobby and the Harold & Irene Walton Theatre. Meet the adoptable pets from Whatcom Humane Society and learn more about the hard-working Brigadoon Service Dogs. Grab everything you need for your furry friends from Petstop, sign your dog up for daycare or training at Tails-A-Wagging, and book your pet portrait session with Tiffany Brooks Photography. 

While roaming the open house, peek your head into the theatre for a slideshow of the beloved pets of MBT patrons, staff, and community members.

Prissy poodles, droopy-eyed bloodhounds, and neurotic Weimaraners compete for the gold in this largely improvised comedy that takes place at the Mayflower Kennel Club. A yuppie couple, a fly fisherman, and a pair of hairdressers are a few of the pet owners who primp, pamper, and prime their pooches for the big day in this hilarious “dogumentary.”
