MBT Wade Bennett King Education Series Presents

Captain Nemo's Undersea Academy

Wonders of the Deep

Storytelling is one of the oldest and most cherished art forms. It fosters imagination, empathy, and critical thinking to encourage students to become engaged listeners and creative thinkers.

In Wonders of the Deep, students join the eccentric Captain Nemo on a whimsical science adventure through the ocean’s mysteries. This interactive storytelling experience blends science and comedy, with larger-than-life characters including a glowing jar of plankton, a misunderstood anglerfish, a giant squid, and yes, even whale poop. With magical effects, slapstick humor, and plenty of surprises, this performance makes learning about marine life a splashingly good time. Created and performed by internationally touring artist David Engel, it is storytelling full of imagination in perfect harmony.
