Michael W. Smith

For over four decades, Michael W. Smith has performed around the world to sold-out crowds. He’s written and recorded over 36 number-one hit songs, while releasing new music regularly. During his career, Smith has earned three Grammy Awards, over 45 Dove Awards, one American Music Award, was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2008, and has sold more than 15 million albums. 

Smith is more than just an outstanding songwriter and performer. He has given back to the global community throughout his career. He’s raised funds to battle AIDS in Africa and started Rocketown, a live music venue that’s a safe haven for young people in Tennessee to meet and find hope. He’s also helped more than 70,000 children through Compassion International, a humanitarian aid organization that aims to positively influence the long-term development of children who live in poverty. 

Smith is currently in the studio working on his next record, weaving together the sounds from his earliest projects with lyrics that reflect his heart and dedication to worship.
